Hannah Cohen
LGPC
Associate Therapist
(she/her/hers)
Young adulthood is a time of transition, growth, and reflecting on your past while also planning your future. You might be taking on new responsibilities, stepping into new identities, and learning to embody your true self. At the same time, you might feel overwhelmed at the pressure of what you (or others) think your life “should” be. I am committed to partnering with you so that you don’t have to navigate this life stage alone. Together, we will explore your values, identity, and core beliefs to help you become the person you are striving to be!
I help my clients address anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, substance use, and identity development. I love working with those from neurodivergent and neurodiverse backgrounds, understanding that therapy –just like people! – comes in many forms and is not one-size-fits all. I embrace a body-positive, health at every size perspective, and am committed to helping you cultivate self-confidence and self-worth. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ identifying folks and couples to address their unique identity, social, and relational needs!
Rooted in a person-centered approach, my therapeutic style is authentic, empathic, and empowering. I pull from a variety of evidence-based practices, such as CBT, ACT, and DBT, to create a plan that is best suited for you to address the challenges and growth opportunities you bring to therapy. I am also EMDR trained and practice from a trauma-informed perspective.
I’m here to work with you to bridge the gap between where you are now and the self you envision yourself to be. I believe that we innately possess all the necessary tools to evolve into our ideal versions of ourselves, and as your therapist, I am here to help you use these tools to take charge of your life, cultivate a support system, and thrive in young adulthood!
